AVW Global, the premium motorsport consultancy founded by former MotoGP rider Karel Abraham, has signed a landmark MoU with the State Transformation Commission, Government of Uttar Pradesh, to establish a world-class motorcycle racing ecosystem in the state.

Under the agreement, AVW Global will collaborate with the Uttar Pradesh government to facilitate premier international championships such as MotoGP and the Asia Road Racing Championship (ARRC). The initiative aims to position Uttar Pradesh as a global hub for two-wheel motorsport.

The centerpiece of this ambitious plan is the Buddh International Circuit, one of India’s most advanced racing facilities. The circuit will serve as the anchor venue for international events, with a long-term vision of building a sustainable motorsport and youth development ecosystem in the state.
AVW Global brings extensive global expertise, including Abraham’s experience as a former MotoGP racer and circuit operator. The company will provide end-to-end advisory support covering research, strategic planning, and event execution.

With racing action targeted as early as July–August 2026, the move is expected to boost tourism, infrastructure growt,h and India’s presence on the global racing calendar, while strengthening Uttar Pradesh’s ambitions of becoming the country’s Motorsport Capital.
