VinFast Reveals Lac Hong 800S & 900S Ultra-Luxury EVs, Finalises Three-Brand Strategy

Vietnamese EV major VinFast has formally completed its strategic transition to a three-brand automotive structure, unveiling two new flagship ultra-luxury models — the Lac Hong 800S and Lac Hong 900S. The move marks a significant evolution in the company’s global positioning, as it sharpens its brand architecture across the luxury, passenger, and commercial mobility segments.

Three Distinct Automotive Brand Lines

Under the newly defined structure:

  • Lac Hong represents the pinnacle ultra-luxury marque, currently comprising the 900 LX, 900S, and 800S.

  • VF serves as the mass-market electric passenger vehicle lineup, spanning from VF 3 to VF 9, including the seven-seat VF MPV 7.

  • Green focuses on commercial and service mobility solutions with models such as Limo Green, Herio Green, Nerio Green, and Minio Green.

This segmentation allows VinFast to clearly differentiate its product portfolios while targeting diverse mobility needs globally.

Lac Hong 800S & 900S: Ultra-Luxury with Cultural Identity

The newly revealed Lac Hong 800S and 900S expand the brand’s ultra-luxury portfolio, complementing the 900 LX introduced in 2025, including its advanced armored derivative.

Both models draw strong inspiration from Vietnam’s cultural heritage. Signature design elements include:

  • Vertical grille slats inspired by resilient Vietnamese bamboo

  • A wing-shaped emblem symbolising the Lac bird

  • Decorative motifs referencing the Dong Son bronze drum and terraced rice fields

  • A gold-plated alloy “Lac Hong” wordmark in calligraphic styling

While the 800S adopts a bold and assertive design language, the 900S leans toward classical elegance and timeless sophistication.

Opulent Interiors & Executive Comfort

Inside, the cabins are appointed with:

  • Premium Nappa leather

  • Rare wood trims

  • Refined gold-plated detailing

Luxury features include zero-gravity executive seats, automatic power-assisted doors, and premium entertainment systems from globally recognised brands.

The Lac Hong 900S elevates exclusivity further with:

  • A privacy partition

  • Starlight headliner

  • Large-format projection entertainment display

  • Foldable executive workstation for second-row passengers

The result is a mobile environment tailored for business, leisure, and immersive travel experiences.

Performance & Technology

Powering both models is an all-new, fully active suspension system engineered for superior ride comfort and stability. Buyers can opt for a tri-motor configuration — one front motor and two rear motors — delivering a combined output of up to 460 kW, positioning the duo firmly within the global ultra-luxury performance segment.

The Lac Hong 800S and 900S are scheduled for commercial launch in 2027.

VinFast’s Growth Momentum

VinFast has introduced more than 15 electric vehicle models to date and has held the leadership position in Vietnam for 16 consecutive months. In 2025 alone, the automaker delivered 175,099 vehicles domestically — setting a national sales record and reinforcing its dominance in the home market.

With the formalisation of its three-brand structure and the debut of its latest ultra-luxury flagships, VinFast is signalling a clear intent to compete not just regionally, but on the global automotive stage.
