VinFast Opens Its Largest India Showroom, Strengthening EV Presence in Chennai

Chennai facility to showcase VF 6 and VF 7 electric SUVs; part of 35-store expansion plan across India

 

VinFast Auto India has inaugurated its largest showroom in the country, located in Teynampet, Chennai, marking a key milestone in the brand’s rapid expansion into the Indian EV market. Promoted by Maansarovar Motors, a well-known automotive retailer in the region, the 4,700 sq. ft. showroom is the first and biggest touchpoint for VinFast in Tamil Nadu.

Strategically positioned for high visibility and accessibility, the showroom will offer customers a premium experience while displaying VinFast’s upcoming VF 6 and VF 7 electric SUVs. This is the first of 35 showrooms the Vietnamese EV maker plans to launch across 27+ Indian cities by the end of 2025.

A Strategic Move in a Key Market

Speaking at the launch, Mr. Pham Sanh Chau, CEO, VinFast Asia, said:

“Chennai’s dynamic ecosystem and rich automotive legacy make it an ideal launchpad for our largest dealership in India. Through our partnership with Maansarovar Motors, we aim to transform EV ownership with sustainable, tech-forward mobility solutions and a superior customer experience.”

Chau emphasized that this move marks more than a retail milestone — it reflects VinFast’s long-term commitment to India as a future-ready, sustainable mobility market.

Bookings Now Open for VF 6 and VF 7

VinFast officially began pre-bookings for its VF 6 and VF 7 electric SUVs on July 15, 2025, with a fully refundable booking amount of ₹21,000. Customers can reserve vehicles either online via VinFastAuto.in or at any authorized showroom.

Building the EV Ecosystem

To support its India entry, VinFast has entered into strategic collaborations with:

  • RoadGrid, myTVS, and Global Assure – for nationwide charging infrastructure and after-sales service

  • BatX Energies – to promote battery recycling and circular economy initiatives

These partnerships reflect VinFast’s mission to create a sustainable EV ecosystem powered by responsible innovation and strong service support.
