VE Commercial Vehicles (VECV) joined the World EV Day 2025 celebrations by showcasing its progress in electric mobility and reaffirming its commitment to accelerating India’s transition towards sustainable transportation.

VECV’s approach goes beyond vehicles, focusing on a complete ecosystem that includes charging infrastructure, connected services, and sustainable manufacturing practices, ensuring scalability and future readiness.

Expanding EV Portfolio

VECV is steadily growing its electric lineup with models like the Eicher Pro X Small Truck, the category-first Eicher 2055 EV, and the Eicher Skyline Pro Electric buses designed for city, school, staff, and airport applications. These vehicles are already in operation across multiple cities, gaining traction in passenger and last-mile logistics segments.

To strengthen charging access, VECV has partnered with Charging Point Operators, giving Eicher EV customers access to thousands of charging points across India.

Driving Sustainable Manufacturing

VECV’s Industry 4.0-enabled Bhopal plant serves as a benchmark in sustainable manufacturing. Highlights include:

  • 42% of total energy from renewables, supported by 75 MW captive solar capacity (target: 70% by FY27)

  • AI-driven energy monitoring for operational efficiency

  • An all-women assembly line promoting inclusivity

  • A 52-million-litre rainwater harvesting reservoir, capable of sustaining operations for up to four months, aligns with the company’s goal of becoming water positive by 2030

Innovation Beyond EVs

As a pioneer in clean mobility, VECV was among the first to launch BS-VI vehicles in 2019. Today, it continues to innovate across alternate fuels, including CNG, LNG, H2ICE, and hydrogen fuel cells, complementing its EV portfolio.

Through a blend of product innovation, renewable energy integration, and ecosystem partnerships, VECV aims to contribute to India’s net-zero targets, ensuring solutions that are both economically viable and environmentally responsible.
