Signs MoUs with 13 CPOs to add another 25,000 charge points in the next 12 months; charger visibility enabled on the Fleet Edge platform for seamless navigation.
Tata Motors, India’s largest commercial vehicle manufacturer, has hit a major milestone in strengthening the electric cargo ecosystem with the deployment of over 25,000 public charging stations for its electric small commercial vehicle (e-SCV) customers. Spread across 150+ cities, including Delhi-NCR, Bengaluru, Mumbai, Chennai, and Hyderabad, the chargers are strategically located near logistics hubs, providing last-mile operators with improved uptime, range confidence, and better profitability.
To accelerate infrastructure growth, Tata Motors has signed MoUs with 13 leading Charging Point Operators (CPOs) to set up 25,000 more public chargers within the next year. All chargers—existing and upcoming—will be visible on Fleet Edge, Tata Motors’ connected vehicle platform, giving operators real-time navigation and charger availability.
The MoUs have been inked with A Plus Charge, Ampvolts, chargeMOD, Charge Zone, Electric Fuel, Envo The Sustainer, EV Spot Charge, Kazam, Nikol EV, Sonik Mobility, Thunderplus Solutions, Volttic, and Zeon Electric.
Speaking on the development, Pinaki Haldar, Vice President & Business Head – SCVPU, Tata Motors Commercial Vehicles, said:
“Crossing the 25,000 public charging station mark is a pivotal milestone in our commitment to advancing electric cargo mobility. With over 10,000 Ace EVs already deployed, covering more than 6 crore km collectively, customer confidence in electric SCVs is growing rapidly. Our newly launched Ace Pro EV is also seeing strong traction with its advanced capabilities for urban and semi-urban cargo needs.”
Tata Motors’ e-SCV portfolio includes the Ace Pro EV, Ace EV, and Ace EV 1000, each designed to serve diverse urban and semi-urban cargo requirements with multiple deck configurations and payload options. The company has also set up 200+ dedicated EV support centres across India to ensure maximum uptime and reliable service for its customers.
With this latest push, Tata Motors continues to reinforce its leadership in zero-emission last-mile logistics, combining reliable e-cargo vehicles with a rapidly expanding charging ecosystem.
