Tata Motors’ EV arm, Tata.ev, has partnered with Shell India to roll out 21 new Tata.ev x Shell Mega Charging Hubs across Bengaluru, Chennai, Mysuru, Pune and Vadodara, further strengthening India’s fast-charging EV infrastructure.
Each hub is equipped with 120 kW DC fast chargers, ensuring minimal wait times and rapid top-ups. Beyond charging, the stations offer premium amenities including on-ground support staff, Shell Select and Deli2go stores for food and beverages, and hygienic restrooms. Tata EV owners also benefit from up to 25% discount on charging tariffs.
With this addition, the Tata.ev Mega Charging Hub network now exceeds 130 operational sites nationwide. The expansion is part of the brand’s ‘Open Collaboration 2.0’ initiative aimed at creating high-speed urban and intercity charging corridors in partnership with charge point operators.
The company plans to scale up to over 4 lakh charging points, including 500 Mega Charging Hubs, by 2027 — enabling seamless long-distance EV travel across India. Strategic locations across key city clusters and highways such as the Bengaluru–Mysuru corridor and NH 48 (Ahmedabad–Mumbai highway) ensure both urban convenience and intercity reliability.
This collaboration marks another major step in accelerating EV adoption by building a fast, dependable and customer-friendly public charging ecosystem across the country.
