Omega Seiki Mobility (OSM), one of India’s leading electric vehicle manufacturers, has announced its first overseas foray with the launch of an electric vehicle assembly plant in Jebel Ali Free Zone (Jafza), Dubai. The company will invest USD 25 million (AED 92 million) over the next five years, underscoring its ambition to expand into high-growth international markets.

The 42,000 sq. ft. facility, Jafza’s first EV assembly plant, will focus on electric two- and three-wheelers, alongside warehousing and distribution of spare parts. Operations are slated to begin by the end of 2025, creating over 100 jobs in the first phase.

Strategically located, the plant will serve as a gateway to the Middle East and Africa (MEA), a market of over 2 billion consumers, where EV adoption is accelerating. The MENA electric mobility sector is projected to reach $14.5 billion by 2029, supported by government incentives and growing infrastructure.

Abdulla Al Hashmi, COO, Parks & Zones, DP World GCC, said:
“With MENA’s EV market expanding rapidly, Jafza provides manufacturers like OSM with unmatched access to regional and global markets. This facility underscores Dubai’s role as a leading hub for automotive innovation.”

Uday Narang, Founder and Chairman, Omega Seiki Mobility, added:
“This launch is a proud milestone, especially as it coincides with India’s Independence Day. Jafza offers speed, scale, and connectivity, enabling us to bring clean mobility solutions to the Middle East and Africa. Dubai will serve as our global launchpad for sustainable mobility.”

While OSM’s primary focus is EVs, the company also plans to introduce CNG-powered models in select African regions as a transitional clean-fuel solution where EV infrastructure is still developing.

The Dubai facility will assemble OSM’s flagship models, including the Rage+ cargo three-wheeler and the Stream passenger three-wheeler, both offering up to 270 km range, fast-charging and battery-swapping options, and IoT-enabled fleet tracking.

With over 20,000 vehicles sold in India, a 160+ dealer network, and certifications from authorities like ICAT and ARAI, OSM is set to accelerate its global growth by making sustainable, reliable mobility solutions accessible across new markets.
