Oben Electric Launches ‘Protect 8/80’: India’s Most Affordable 8-Year Battery Warranty for EV Motorcycles
Oben Electric, India’s leading R&D-driven electric motorcycle brand, has announced the launch of Protect 8/80, a groundbreaking battery protection plan offering 8 years or 80,000 km of coverage for just ₹9,999. Available from May 1, 2025, the plan is open to both existing and new Rorr EZ customers.
This industry-first warranty redefines peace of mind for electric two-wheeler owners by covering all battery-related issues, including repairs and replacements, while guaranteeing consistent performance and acceleration throughout the plan’s duration. Fully transferable, the warranty also boosts the resale value of the Rorr EZ.
The Protect 8/80 plan is powered by Oben’s in-house LFP battery technology, engineered to handle extreme Indian conditions with up to 50% higher thermal tolerance compared to Li-NMC batteries. This technological edge enables Oben to offer one of the longest and most affordable battery warranties in the commuter EV segment.

The plan covers both 3.4 kWh and 4.4 kWh variants of the Rorr EZ, which features a 175 km IDC range, 0–40 km/h acceleration in 3.3 seconds, and a top speed of 95 km/h — starting at an ex-showroom price of ₹89,999. The Protect 8/80 plan is available across 36 Oben Electric showrooms nationwide.
