Oben Electric to Launch Next-Gen Rorr EZ on August 5 with Upgraded Tech and Rider-Focused Features
Oben Electric, the Bengaluru-based R&D-focused EV startup, is set to launch the next-generation Rorr EZ on August 5, 2025, bringing with it a host of enhancements designed to elevate the urban electric riding experience. The new Rorr EZ builds upon the success of its predecessor, adding bold styling, smarter tech, and refined ride dynamics while retaining its core strengths of performance, practicality, and everyday usability.
The current Rorr EZ—launched in November 2024—quickly gained traction among Indian city commuters thanks to its clutch-free ride, low maintenance, quick acceleration, and real-world range of up to 175 km (IDC). It also boasts a top speed of 95 km/h and supports fast charging to 80% in as little as 45 minutes, making it a go-to solution for electric urban mobility.
The next-gen model will continue using Oben’s in-house developed LFP battery pack, known for better thermal performance, longer life, and higher reliability compared to traditional lithium-ion chemistries. Oben claims the LFP battery offers 50% better heat resistance and twice the lifespan, aligning well with India’s varied riding conditions.
In line with Oben’s “Design in India for the World” philosophy, the upcoming Rorr EZ promises sharper aesthetics, improved rider ergonomics, and next-gen connectivity features—all geared toward making the daily ride more intuitive and enjoyable.
Bookings for the new Rorr EZ will open on launch day, with deliveries beginning from August 15, 2025.
