MG Cyberster Debuts in India as the Fastest MG Ever – Priced from ₹72.49 Lakh

JSW MG Motor India has officially launched the MG Cyberster, the brand’s first all-electric roadster under its luxury sub-brand, MG SELECT. Designed as a modern-day reimagination of the classic MGB Roadster, the Cyberster brings together emotional design, exhilarating performance, and conscious mobility in a striking, drop-top EV avatar.

The Cyberster is available at an introductory price of ₹72.49 lakh (ex-showroom) for customers with pre-reserved bookings. Fresh bookings will be priced at ₹74.99 lakh. Bookings are now open online and at MG SELECT Experience Centres across 13 cities, with deliveries commencing from August 10, 2025.

Futuristic Performance Meets Classic Soul

Powered by a dual-motor AWD setup, the Cyberster produces a jaw-dropping 510 PS of power and 725 Nm of torque, accelerating from 0–100 km/h in just 3.2 seconds. This performance is backed by the segment’s slimmest battery pack—a 77 kWh unit with just 110 mm thickness—offering a claimed MIDC range of 580 km*. The EV also boasts a best-in-class drag coefficient of 0.269 Cd and features Launch Control for peak off-the-line performance.

Co-developed with former Formula 1 chassis engineer Marco Fainello, the Cyberster sits on a double-wishbone suspension setup and achieves a near-perfect 50:50 weight distribution for agile, confidence-inspiring handling.

Electrifying Design: Bold, Sculptural, and Open-Top

The MG Cyberster retains the timeless spirit of British roadsters, reinterpreted for the EV era. Its dramatic silhouette is complemented by scissor doors, a retractable soft-top roof, and bold Kammback rear styling. The active aero elements and signature LED lighting further amplify its sporty character.

The Cyberster rides on staggered 20-inch lightweight alloy wheels wrapped in Pirelli P-Zero tyres, while Brembo four-piston front callipers provide powerful and controlled braking, bringing the car to a stop from 100 km/h in just 33 metres.

Driver-Focused Cabin with Sustainable Luxury

Inside, the Cyberster offers a futuristic, wraparound cockpit featuring a triple-screen layout: a 10.25-inch central infotainment touchscreen flanked by dual 7-inch digital displays. Sustainable materials, such as Dinamica suede and premium vegan leather, elevate the tactile experience, while a BOSE sound system with noise cancellation enhances the cabin ambience.

Dual-zone climate control with PM2.5 air filtration, paddle shifters for regen braking, and multiple drive modes add to the performance and comfort balance.

Safety First with Level 2 ADAS and Advanced Architecture

Built on an H-shaped full cradle platform, the Cyberster delivers top-tier safety with a Static Stability Factor of 1.83—best-in-class for rollover resistance. It comes equipped with Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), including real-time Driver Monitoring, ESC, multiple airbags, and electronic differential lock, ensuring confidence at all speeds.
