Zuperia Auto Expands into Cargo & Waste EVs to Power India’s Commercial EV Revolution
As India’s commercial EV market surges, Zuperia Auto Pvt. Ltd. (formerly Lohia Auto Industries) is accelerating its growth into the electric cargo and garbage vehicle segments, aligning with rising demand for clean, utility-driven mobility solutions.

With the introduction of its new ‘Youdha’ brand—targeting premium and institutional clients—Zuperia is expanding beyond its legacy ‘Lohia’ offerings to serve a rapidly growing e-commerce and municipal sector. In 2024 alone, electric three-wheeler sales hit 694,466 units, with cargo variants seeing 45% YoY growth, driven by last-mile delivery and waste management needs.

Zuperia’s recent win includes a 40-unit order from DSIIDC to supply electric garbage vehicles for Delhi’s Bawana Industrial Area, following successful deployments in Delhi-NCR, Andhra Pradesh, and Chhattisgarh.
“Electric cargo and garbage vehicles are the next frontier in India’s EV transition,” said Ayush Lohia, CEO, Zuperia Auto. “With diesel bans looming and clean mobility mandates tightening, we’re committed to delivering efficient, sustainable solutions for urban and industrial ecosystems.”

Zuperia is ramping up capacity at its Kashipur plant, with new launches under ‘Youdha’ aimed at logistics, retail, and waste collection. Backed by strong government incentives, Zuperia projects cargo and utility EV demand to exceed 1.5 lakh units within five years.
With in-house R&D, scalable manufacturing, and tailor-made solutions, Zuperia Auto is well-positioned to lead India’s commercial EV evolution.
