Jupiter Electric Mobility Rolls Out in Bengaluru with JEM TEZ e-LCV – Begins Pan-India Push
Jupiter Electric Mobility (JEM), the EV commercial vehicle arm of Jupiter Wagons Ltd., has flagged off its pan-India journey by opening its first-ever showroom in Jayanagar, Bengaluru. The star of the launch? The JEM TEZ – a 1.05-ton electric light commercial vehicle built to power India’s last-mile delivery game.
Designed for urban logistics, the JEM TEZ packs a punch with a certified range of 190 km, 80 kW peak motor power, and a payload of over a ton. It’s made for city hauling, with performance and durability that fleet operators can count on. The vehicle is geared towards sectors like FMCG, e-commerce, and intra-city freight, where uptime, low operating cost, and emissions matter most.
The new Jayanagar experience centre isn’t just about vehicles—it’s a full-fledged retail and support hub. From hands-on product demos to financing help and test drives, JEM wants to make the EV switch seamless for commercial buyers. And to keep things running post-purchase, there’s already a dedicated service hub up and running in Devanahalli.
Bengaluru was a clear first choice for JEM’s retail debut. With its tech-forward mindset, booming logistics ecosystem, and fast EV adoption, it sets the perfect stage for the TEZ’s commercial rollout.
Speaking at the inauguration, Mr. Vivek Lohia, MD of Jupiter Group, said, “With its strong infrastructure and forward-looking policies, Bengaluru offers the right launchpad for our electric LCVs. JEM TEZ is our answer to what India’s growing last-mile ecosystem needs—reliable, cost-efficient, and green commercial mobility.”
Backed by a new 2.5-acre manufacturing plant in Pithampur, Indore, JEM is all set to scale. The plant can produce 8,000–10,000 units annually, with plans for expansion based on demand. JEM is also building an EV ecosystem through tie-ups with companies like Porter, Pulse Energy, Battwheel, and Tapfin for financing, charging infrastructure, and service support.
JEM’s Udaan program will also offer drivers and small fleet owners business assistance to ease the transition to electric.
Bengaluru is just the beginning. JEM has its eyes set on Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Kolkata, and Chennai as part of its national EV expansion strategy.
