GreenLine Launches LNG Truck Fleet for Bekaert to Accelerate Sustainable Logistics

GreenLine Mobility Solutions Ltd., an Essar venture and India’s leading green logistics provider of LNG and electric-powered heavy commercial vehicles, has partnered with Bekaert, a global pioneer in tire reinforcement technology, to decarbonise road transport and align with India’s vision for a gas-based economy.

The collaboration was officially launched with the deployment of GreenLine’s LNG-powered trucks at Bekaert’s Ranjangaon plant, marking the beginning of a strategic pilot initiative to significantly cut emissions from Bekaert’s logistics operations.

Each LNG truck from GreenLine is expected to slash up to 24 tonnes of CO₂ emissions annually — a meaningful contribution toward Bekaert’s goal of achieving carbon net-zero by 2050 and driving 65% of its revenue through sustainable solutions.

GreenLine’s LNG truck fleet has already covered over 40 million kilometres, helping to avoid more than 10,000 tonnes of CO₂ emissions. With plans to scale operations to over 10,000 LNG and EV trucks across India, the company is building a robust network of 100 LNG refuelling stations, EV charging hubs, and battery swapping facilities, aiming to reduce 1 million tonnes of carbon emissions annually.
