Tata Motors has introduced the new avatar of the Punch.ev, strengthening its push towards mass-market electric mobility in India. Priced at an introductory ₹9.69 lakh (ex-showroom, Mumbai), the updated EV aims to bring near price parity with entry-level ICE hatchbacks.

Built on the advanced acti.ev architecture, the Tata Punch EV addresses key EV adoption concerns including affordability, range anxiety, charging access and battery assurance. It is offered with two battery pack options — a new 40 kWh unit delivering an ARAI-certified range of 468 km and a real-world C75 range of around 355 km, along with a 30 kWh variant.
Fast-charging capability allows a 20–80% charge in just 26 minutes, while a 15-minute top-up adds up to 135 km of real-world range. The model also comes with a lifetime HV battery warranty with unlimited kilometres, reinforcing long-term ownership confidence.

Tata.ev is also offering a Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) option starting at ₹6.49 lakh with battery usage cost pegged at ₹2.6 per km, further lowering the entry barrier.
Supported by an expanding charging network of over 2.3 lakh charging points across 1,500 cities, the new Punch.ev positions itself as a practical, feature-rich and accessible electric SUV for both first-time EV buyers and urban households seeking an everyday family car.
