Mercedes-Benz Rolls Out EQS 580 ‘Celebration Edition’ and Expands Luxury Footprint Across India

Mercedes-Benz India is riding the electric wave in style. The brand has just launched the EQS 580 4MATIC ‘Celebration Edition’, marking the growing success of its electric flagship while simultaneously opening four new luxury touchpoints — in Jammu, New Delhi, Mumbai, and now Chennai. That’s 11 new outlets in 2025 so far, and more on the way.

Priced at ₹1.30 crore (ex-showroom) and limited to just 50 units, the EQS 580 ‘Celebration Edition’ is all about next-level rear seat comfort, featuring Executive Seats that recline up to 38°, massage functions, Nappa leather, and a Chauffeur Package. Still boasting that class-leading 800+ km ARAI-certified range, the EQS continues to flex its dominance as the longest-range BEV in India.

Mercedes-Benz isn’t just upgrading cars — it’s transforming the luxury buying experience. The brand introduced its ‘Atelier Experience’ at Sundaram Motors, Adyar, Chennai — a boutique setup where customers can personalize their cars using MANUFAKTUR customization options, with digital tools and physical samples for a true “physi-digital” feel.

This comes on the heels of similar luxury-focused showrooms like the Maybach Lounge in Hyderabad and the G-Class Lounge in Delhi. The company is clearly doubling down on the top-end luxury EV segment, with BEV sales growing 73% YTD (as of May 2025) — driven by rising demand for the EQS lineup, EQS Maybach SUV, and the G 580 with EQ Tech.

Santosh Iyer, MD & CEO of Mercedes-Benz India, said it best:
“The EQS 580 ‘Celebration Edition’ and our network expansion reflect our strong commitment to top-end luxury and customer experience. We’re not just meeting expectations — we’re designing the future of luxury EV ownership in India.”

With 30 new/upgraded outlets planned for 2025, including upcoming entries into mini-metros like Kanpur, Patna, Varanasi, Udaipur, and Bhopal, Mercedes-Benz is clearly on a mission — making electric luxury not just aspirational, but accessible.
