Ather Energy Teams Up with Infineon to Supercharge India’s EV Future

Ather Energy has joined forces with Infineon Technologies, a global semiconductor leader, to take India’s electric two-wheeler game to the next level. The goal? Smarter, more efficient, and more reliable EVs that are ready for the roads of tomorrow.

The partnership was sealed in Seoul, South Korea, with both companies committing to push innovation in electric mobility. Infineon will bring its cutting-edge semiconductor tech – think advanced microcontrollers, sensors, and EV-optimized chips – while Ather will continue doing what it does best: building high-performance, energy-efficient scooters designed for Indian riders.

Swapnil Jain, Co-founder & CTO at Ather Energy, said:
“Great EVs are all about strong fundamentals – performance, efficiency, and reliability. Partnering with Infineon gives us access to tech that can help us simplify systems, improve charging and safety, and reduce costs. This is a big step forward not just for Ather, but for India’s entire EV ecosystem.”

Peter Schaefer, EVP at Infineon, added:
“India’s EV space is booming, especially in the two-wheeler segment. We’re excited to support Ather with our energy-efficient SiC and GaN solutions, helping accelerate India’s shift to clean mobility.”

This partnership will also explore new ways to boost vehicle safety and user experience, focusing on fast charging, better energy efficiency, and long-term reliability. It’s all about making EVs more practical, sustainable, and attractive for everyday users.

Together, Ather and Infineon are setting the pace for India’s 2-wheeler EV revolution — one smart scooter at a time.
