Mercedes-Benz India has introduced the all-new Mercedes-Benz CLA BEV in India, marking the debut of its next-generation electric vehicle architecture (MMA) in the country. The launch continues the brand’s aggressive EV push in 2026, redefining the luxury battery electric vehicle (BEV) segment.
The CLA BEV is offered in three variants — CLA 200 ‘Standard Range’, CLA 250+ ‘Long Range’, and a top-spec ‘Launch Edition’ — catering to a wide spectrum of luxury EV buyers. Prices start at ₹55 lakh (ex-showroom).
Performance and Range
Built on an advanced 800-volt architecture, the CLA BEV supports ultra-fast charging of up to 320 kW. The CLA 250+ ‘Long Range’ delivers an impressive WLTP-certified range of up to 792 km, powered by an 85.5 kWh battery and producing 200 kW of peak output. It accelerates from 0-100 kmph in just 6.7 seconds.
Fast-charging capability is a key highlight, with the CLA 250+ capable of adding up to 400 km of range in just 20 minutes, while the CLA 200 adds up to 320 km in the same time using a 240 kW DC fast charger.
Technology and AI Integration
The CLA BEV is the first Mercedes-Benz in India to feature the new MB.OS operating system, powering the fourth-generation MBUX infotainment system. It integrates AI capabilities, including ChatGPT, Microsoft Bing, and Google Gemini, along with advanced navigation powered by Google Maps with electric intelligence.
Backed by NVIDIA chips delivering up to 508 trillion operations per second, the system ensures a smooth and responsive user experience. The vehicle architecture includes four high-performance computers enabling OTA updates and future-ready functionality.
Safety and ADAS
The CLA BEV comes equipped with Level 2 ADAS as standard, powered by the NVIDIA AI stack, and is upgradeable to Level 2+ with features like steering assist.
Charging and Ownership
Mercedes-Benz’s MB.CHARGE Public network now spans over 9,000 charging points across India, offering seamless charging access. The CLA BEV also comes with an 8-year/160,000 km battery warranty and service packages starting at ₹60,000 for four years.
Flexible ownership is enabled via Mercedes-Benz Financial Services, offering EMIs starting from ₹62,000 and a 59% assured buyback value under the Star Agility program.
Comfort and Practicality
The CLA BEV features a panoramic sunroof with heat protection coating that filters UV rays and reduces cabin heat. Additionally, the suspension has been specifically tuned for Indian road conditions, ensuring a comfortable driving experience.
