Tata Motors has launched its next-generation portfolio of 17 trucks, spanning 7 to 55 tonnes, marking a major step forward for India’s commercial vehicle industry. The comprehensive rollout includes the all-new Azura range, the latest Tata Trucks.ev portfolio, and significant upgrades to the Prima, Signa and Ultra platforms. Azura: New Benchmark in ILMCV Segment

The newly introduced Azura series is purpose-built for the intermediate and light commercial vehicle segment. Powered by a new 3.6-litre diesel engine, the range offers high efficiency, reliability and uptime. Available in 7 to 19-tonne configurations, Azura is aimed at applications ranging from e-commerce and FMCG distribution to construction materials, agriculture and regional logistics.

Global Safety Standards for Indian Trucks

Tata Motors has upgraded its entire truck portfolio—including Azura, Signa, Prima and Ultra—to comply with ECE R29 03 crash safety standards. The trucks feature reinforced cabins for frontal, rollover and side-impact protection, along with up to 23 advanced active safety technologies. Integrated Fleet Edge connectivity enables real-time monitoring of driving behaviour, further enhancing on-road safety.

With payload gains of up to 1.8 tonnes and fuel efficiency improvements of up to 7 per cent, the updated range is engineered to boost transporter profitability. Tata Trucks.ev Expands Electric Portfolio

Driving the shift to sustainable logistics, Tata Motors introduced a wide electric truck range under Tata Trucks.ev, based on the new I-MOEV architecture. The portfolio spans 7 to 55 tonnes and includes the Ultra EV range, the high-performance Prima E.55S electric prime mover, and the Prima E.28K electric tipper, catering to applications across urban logistics, construction, ports and mining.
