Tata Motors, India’s largest commercial vehicle manufacturer, has announced that it will pass on the full benefit of the recent GST reduction to customers across its entire commercial vehicle portfolio. The revised prices will come into effect from September 22, 2025, in line with the GST Council’s notification.

The GST rate on commercial vehicles has been slashed to 18%, a move that the company says will significantly ease the financial burden on transporters, fleet operators, and small businesses.

Commenting on the development, Girish Wagh, Executive Director, Tata Motors, said:

“The reduction in GST on commercial vehicles to 18% is a bold and timely step towards revitalizing India’s transport and logistics backbone. Inspired by the Hon’ble Prime Minister’s vision and the progressive reforms announced by the GST Council under the stewardship of the Hon’ble Finance Minister, Tata Motors is proud to extend the full benefit of GST reduction on all our commercial vehicles to customers across the country.”

He further emphasized that lower prices will not only reduce the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) but also accelerate fleet modernization and adoption of cleaner, more efficient mobility solutions.

Potential Price Reductions on Tata Motors Commercial Vehicles (effective Sept 22, 2025):

  • HCVs: ₹2.8 lakh – ₹4.65 lakh

  • ILMCVs: ₹1 lakh – ₹3 lakh

  • Buses & Vans: ₹1.2 lakh – ₹4.35 lakh

  • SCV Passenger: ₹52,000 – ₹66,000

  • SCVs & Pickups: ₹30,000 – ₹1.1 lakh

Tata Motors is encouraging customers to book their vehicles early, with festive season deliveries expected to see strong demand. For exact pricing, buyers are advised to check with authorized Tata Motors dealerships.
