Tata Motors, India’s largest commercial vehicle manufacturer, has launched the all-new Tata LPT 812, a breakthrough in the Intermediate, Light, and Medium Commercial Vehicle (ILMCV) segment. Designed to maximize fleet profitability, the LPT 812 sets new benchmarks in operational efficiency and total cost of ownership.
The LPT 812 is India’s first 4-tyre truck capable of carrying a 5-tonne payload, combining the ruggedness of a 6-tyre truck with the agility, efficiency, and lower maintenance of a 4-tyre model. Offered with multiple load body options, it caters to diverse applications such as industrial goods, courier, market load, and fruits & vegetables.
Equipped with factory-fitted air-conditioning, the LPT 812 redefines driver comfort in its category, while delivering superior performance.

Powered by Tata’s reliable 4SPCR diesel engine, the truck produces 125 hp and 360 Nm torque, paired with a 5-speed gearbox and booster-assisted clutch for smoother gearshifts and reduced fatigue. Heavy-duty radial tyres, enhanced braking, and improved suspension (parabolic front with anti-roll bar) ensure load-carrying stability, safety, and durability.
