Tata Motors Turns Up the Cool with Factory-Fitted AC Across Truck Lineup

Tata Motors is cranking up the comfort for India’s truckers. The country’s biggest commercial vehicle manufacturer has introduced factory-fitted air-conditioning across its entire truck range—from the rugged SFC and dependable LPT to the premium Signa and Prima platforms. For the first time, cowl models also get the cool treatment. This move not only meets regulatory norms but also raises the bar on driver comfort and fleet productivity.

But that’s not all. Alongside the AC rollout, Tata has also upgraded power outputs (up to 320hp!) on its heavy trucks, tippers, and prime movers—giving operators more muscle for demanding applications. The new dual-mode AC system (Eco and Heavy) balances cooling with efficiency, while features like engine idle auto-shut and real-time voice alerts further enhance driveability and fuel savings.

Commenting on the launch, Rajesh Kaul, Vice President & Business Head – Trucks, Tata Motors CVBU, said the upgrades were driven by customer feedback and engineered for long-term value without raising ownership costs.

Tata’s push for smarter, more comfortable trucks is backed by its massive 3000+ touchpoint service network, value-added services via Sampoorna Seva 2.0, and real-time telematics support through its Fleet Edge connected platform.

With this update, Tata Motors is not just building trucks—they’re building a better workday for drivers and more profitable operations for fleet owners.
