GreenLine Partners with Shriram Finance to Accelerate Green Logistics Expansion

Enters Next Phase of Growth in Sustainable Mobility

GreenLine Mobility Solutions Ltd., an Essar company and India’s only dedicated green logistics provider operating LNG and electric heavy commercial trucks, has flagged off a new fleet of LNG-powered trucks from Chakan, Pune. This deployment is supported by Shriram Finance Limited, one of India’s largest NBFCs and a flagship of the Shriram Group.

With over 650 LNG trucks already in operation, GreenLine continues to lead India’s transition to low-carbon logistics. These trucks serve major sectors including FMCG, e-commerce, metals, cement, oil & gas, and chemicals, collectively reducing more than 10,000 tonnes of CO₂ over 40 million kilometres driven.

GreenLine now aims to scale its fleet to 10,000 LNG and electric vehicles, supported by a national network of 100 LNG refuelling stations, EV charging points, and battery-swapping facilities. The goal: to cut carbon emissions by up to 1 million tonnes per year.

The collaboration with Shriram Finance significantly boosts GreenLine’s mission to decarbonise India’s road transport sector, which currently contributes nearly 15% of the country’s total emissions. This partnership enhances financing access for cleaner fleet solutions, enabling more businesses to adopt sustainable logistics.

Anand Mimani, CEO, GreenLine Mobility Solutions Ltd., said,
“This fleet expansion marks a pivotal step in revolutionising Indian logistics. With the support of Shriram Finance, we’re making high-performance, sustainable transport a reality. Our trucks, built by Blue Energy Motors, are driving real impact in reducing emissions.”

Sharvari Prabhu, CFO, GreenLine Mobility Solutions Ltd., added,
“Strategic financing is crucial to scaling green mobility. Shriram Finance’s involvement allows us to offer competitive and eco-friendly alternatives to conventional trucking.”

G. M. Jilani, Joint Managing Director, Shriram Finance Limited, commented,
“We are proud to support GreenLine’s expansion. This is our first investment in LNG mobility, and it reflects our broader commitment to responsible financing and environmental impact. We’re excited to help shape a cleaner, more sustainable future for transportation in India.”

GreenLine’s LNG-powered fleet is manufactured by Blue Energy Motors (BEM)—a technology-driven company focused on sustainable transport solutions that enhance both efficiency and environmental performance.
