Ashok Leyland has unveiled its new P15 (49 & 55 HP) and H4 Unipack (55 & 74 HP) industrial engines at EXCON 2025, introducing a new generation of CEV Stage V-compliant powertrains designed for superior performance, fuel efficiency and long-term durability.
Showcased at the Bangalore International Exhibition Centre, the new engines reinforce the company’s commitment to innovation and India’s ‘Make in India’ vision.
Speaking at the debut, Amandeep Singh, President – LCV, International Operations, Defence & Power Solutions, said the new engines are engineered to deliver higher power and lower operating costs, helping customers maximise uptime. Sathyanandan M, Head – Power Solutions, added that the engines are built for tough construction and industrial environments, with easy integration across diverse equipment.

The P15 engine targets compact equipment, including mini compactors, sweepers, skid-steer loaders and forklifts, offering strong pulling power in a lightweight, fuel-efficient package. It is also available in a high-speed (3300 rpm) non-emission variant and a cleaner CNG option.
The H4 Unipack is tailored for demanding applications such as backhoe loaders, delivering robust torque, high-altitude capability up to 5,500 metres and reliable cold-start performance.
Ashok Leyland also presented advanced powertrain solutions, including the A6 380 HP CRS engine, H6 hydrogen/flex-fuel engine, 82.5 kVA genset, a compact Flex EATS system and airless DEF tank technology—further strengthening its industrial engine portfolio.
With a strong engineering heritage and an extensive support network, Ashok Leyland continues to expand its leadership in the off-highway and industrial engine segment.
