Volkswagen India makes 6 airbags standard across its 5-Star GNCAP-rated model line-up

Volkswagen India has standardized 6 airbags across all variants of the 5-Star GNCAP safety-rated Taigun and Virtus, enhancing their safety. Over 100,000 Indian families have chosen these models for their 5-star safety ratings for adults and children. The Taigun accounts for over 61% of sales, and the Virtus, a popular premium mid-size sedan, has reached significant milestones. Around 40% of customers also prefer the GT variants, highlighting their performance appeal.

Since introducing its India 2.0 product portfolio, Volkswagen India has expanded its offerings to meet customer demand for German-engineered, safe vehicles. Recently, it added two new Taigun variants: the GT Line with a 1.0l TSI engine and the GT Plus Sport with a 1.5l TSI EVO engine. Volkswagen now has 208 sales and pre-owned car touchpoints and 142 service touchpoints across 155 cities. The brand is committed to competitive Total Cost of Ownership and transparent after-sales services, redefining the mobility experience with innovation, design, and performance.
