Uber Rolls Out India’s First Uber Black Airport Pickup Zone at Bengaluru’s Kempegowda International Airport

In a landmark move for premium ground transportation in India, Uber has partnered with Bangalore International Airport Limited (BIAL) to introduce dedicated Uber Black and Uber Comfort pickup zones at Kempegowda International Airport’s Terminal 1 (T1) and Terminal 2 (T2).
Marking India’s first-ever Uber Black airport pickup experience, the new zones aim to deliver a smooth, upscale transition for travellers moving from flight to road. Passengers booking Uber Black or Uber Comfort can now enjoy exclusive pickup points at both terminals, reducing wait times and ensuring a seamless connection between air and ground travel.
The premium pickup areas come equipped with on-ground assistance, water dispensers, charging stations, and staffed helpdesks, alongside high-rated drivers and well-appointed vehicles. The move underscores Uber’s focus on enhancing comfort, convenience, and service quality at key travel hubs.
Arnab Kumar, Director – Business Development, Uber India & South Asia, said:
“Bangalore airport is one of the busiest and most important in the country. With the Uber Black Pickup Zones, we’re elevating the travel experience from the moment passengers step out of the terminal. This reflects our continued focus on premium, tech-enabled, rider-first mobility solutions.”
A BIAL spokesperson added:
“Introducing Uber Black at BLR Airport extends the comfort and care passengers enjoy inside the terminal to their on-ground journey. These dedicated pickup zones align with our vision to offer world-class, passenger-first services.”
With this launch, Uber strengthens its position as a preferred premium mobility partner in India’s airport ecosystem, setting a benchmark for reliability, quality, and convenience in ground transport.
