Toyota Innova Celebrates 20 Years in India with 12 Lakh+ Units Sold
Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) is celebrating two decades of the iconic Toyota Innova in India, marking a remarkable journey that has seen over 12 lakh units of the Innova, Innova Crysta, and Innova HyCross sold nationwide. Loved by families, trusted by businesses, and respected for its Quality, Durability, and Reliability (QDR), the Innova has become one of the most enduring and successful nameplates in India’s automotive history.
Launched in 2005, the Innova redefined the MPV segment with its blend of spacious interiors, robust build quality, and outstanding ride comfort. Over the years, it has continuously evolved – from the premium Innova Crysta in 2016 to the game-changing Innova HyCross in 2022, which introduced self-charging hybrid electric technology to the segment. The HyCross, with its 2.0-litre petrol-hybrid powertrain, delivers 186 PS combined output, segment-leading efficiency, and premium features such as a panoramic sunroof, auto LED headlamps, and dual-function DRLs.

Across its three iterations, the Innova has been a benchmark for comfort, versatility, and low total cost of ownership – attributes supported by Toyota’s extensive T CARE aftersales ecosystem, which offers proactive vehicle health monitoring, transparent servicing, and lifecycle value-added services.
From bustling metros to remote highways, the Innova has been part of countless road trips, business commutes, and family celebrations, earning its place as a household name in India. As it enters its third decade, Toyota is positioning the Innova to continue as a symbol of trust, transformation, and timeless value in the MPV market.
