Tata Motors, now operating under Tata.ev as its electric division, has inaugurated two new showrooms in the National Capital Region, dedicated exclusively to retailing the brand’s electric vehicles (EVs). This includes existing models like the Nexon EV and Tiago EV, as well as upcoming offerings such as the Punch EV, Harrier EV, and Curvv EV.

The first Tata EV showrooms, located in Sector 14 and Sohna Road in Gurugram, are set to open on January 7, 2024. Tata.ev plans to establish two to three outlets in cities with higher EV adoption rates, including Mumbai, Delhi, Bengaluru, and Chennai, within the next 12-18 months. The company aims to cater to the growing market of well-informed and research-oriented EV customers, many of whom are early adopters.

These tech-enabled showrooms will allow potential buyers to explore the vehicles independently, with sales consultants available for assistance. The company emphasizes a conversational approach over traditional sales pitches in customer interactions.

Each Tata EV showroom will feature a dedicated workshop to provide aftersales services and other customer needs. These showrooms are designed with ecological considerations, featuring recycled plastic walls, sensor-driven LED lights, recycled and recyclable materials, and unfired clay bricks. Tata.ev is committed to an eco-friendly approach, organizing events through its Evolve community, offering space for partners to sell environmentally friendly products, and accepting waste for recycling from customers.

Currently, Tata Motors sees 15 percent of its total volume and 20 percent of its revenue coming from EVs. The new showrooms, coupled with the introduction of additional EV models, are expected to contribute to further growth in these figures.
