Two decades of presence in India and sales surpassing 1 lakh units, the Skoda Octavia has been a cornerstone in the sedan segment. However, stringent RDE norms led to its discontinuation in the Indian market.
Design and Interior Upgrades
The facelifted Octavia sports a refreshed design, featuring angular LED headlights and a bold front bumper crease, paying homage to the Czech flag. Inside, the highlight is the new 13-inch infotainment touchscreen, optionally available and incorporating ChatGPT AI for enhanced voice assistance.

Advanced Charging Options
Noteworthy enhancements include the upgraded ‘Phone Box’ offering up to 15W wireless charging with built-in air conditioning to counteract heat. Additionally, USB-C connections now deliver triple the power output compared to the previous model.

Efficient Powertrains
Under the hood, efficiency takes center stage. The entry-level 1.5-liter powerplant boasts reworked turbocharging for improved thermal efficiency. It can be paired with either a six-speed manual or a seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox with a 48V mild-hybrid system for enhanced fuel efficiency.

Model Variants and Engine Options
The Octavia lineup includes variants with 116hp and 150hp options, along with a range-topping vRS model powered by a 265hp turbocharged 2.0-liter engine. A 2.0-liter diesel engine is also available with power outputs of 116hp and 150hp.

Skoda’s Presence in India
In India, Skoda’s current lineup comprises the Slavia sedan, Kushaq midsize SUV, and Kodiaq SUV. The upcoming launch of the Enyaq iV electric SUV and plans for a compact SUV further showcase the brand’s commitment to the Indian market.
