Skoda Auto Volkswagen India Private Limited (SAVWIPL) has commenced production of the new Kushaq at its Chakan facility in Pune, reinforcing the Group’s ‘Make in India, for India and the world’ vision.
The Skoda Kushaq was the first product under the INDIA 2.0 strategy and remains central to the brand’s localisation-driven approach. Designed specifically for Indian conditions, the updated SUV continues to blend European driving dynamics with strong safety credentials and value-focused ownership.
The new Kushaq introduces premium additions, including a panoramic sunroof, rear-seat massage function, and a new 8-speed automatic transmission. It will go on sale from March 2026 following its global premiere in January.
Manufactured at the Group’s world-class Chakan plant, the Kushaq plays a key role in positioning India as a strategic production and export hub. The model has significantly contributed to SAVWIPL’s growth, with the Group recording 117,000 units in sales in 2025.
With strong pre-bookings already in place, the new Kushaq marks the beginning of Škoda’s product offensive for 2026, as the brand continues expanding its portfolio and network footprint across India.
