Renault India has introduced the New Kiger, a bold evolution of its successful compact SUV, featuring more than 35 enhancements across design, technology, performance, and safety. Developed under the brand’s “Rethink Performance” philosophy, the New Kiger brings a refreshed identity while retaining its value-driven positioning in the sub-4m SUV space.

Striking Design with New Identity

The New Kiger debuts a renewed exterior with a bold front grille, sculpted hood, redesigned bumpers, new LED headlamps and taillamps, and fresh skid plates. The SUV now rides on 16-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, while new Oasis Yellow and Shadow Grey shades join the palette, enhancing personalisation options.

Inside, the cabin gets premium upgrades, including ventilated leatherette seats, a new dual-tone dashboard, refined upholstery, and enhanced noise insulation, ensuring a quieter and more upmarket ambience.

Smarter Technology & Premium Comfort

The SUV packs in a multi-view camera system, automatic headlamps, rain-sensing wipers, and a 20.32 cm floating touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. A 3D ARKAMYS® surround sound system, multiple USB points, a cooled glovebox, and the ‘Belongings Take Away’ alert add to everyday convenience.

Passenger comfort is further elevated with rear AC vents, improved cooling efficiency, and a quieter cabin thanks to new insulation materials.

Powertrain & Driving Dynamics

At its heart, the New Kiger retains its 100 PS turbocharged petrol engine, delivering up to 160 Nm of torque with the best-in-segment torque-to-weight ratio and 20.38 kmpl fuel efficiency (ARAI-certified). A naturally aspirated 72 PS petrol engine remains available for value-conscious buyers.

Transmission options include:

  • 5-speed manual – for driving enthusiasts

  • Easy-R AMT – for city convenience

  • X-Tronic CVT with D-Step tech – eliminating the rubber-band effect, delivering responsive and smooth performance

Renault has also introduced Mirror Bore Coating technology, inspired by motorsport, reducing friction for better efficiency, durability, and performance.

Safety – Now Standard Across Variants

Safety is a major focus, with 21 standard safety features, including 6 airbags (front, side, and curtain), ESP, Traction Control, Hill Start Assist, ISOFIX child seat mounts, tyre pressure monitoring, and pedestrian protection. Built on Renault’s robust CMFA+ platform, the New Kiger promises improved crash safety and occupant protection.

Pricing & Variants

The New Kiger will be offered in two powertrain lines – Turbo and Energy (NA petrol) – with prices (ex-showroom, India) as follows:

  • Turbo Variants: ₹9.99 lakh – ₹11.29 lakh

  • Energy Variants: ₹6.29 lakh – ₹9.14 lakh
