The Range Rover Sport has been available in India for approximately 18 months, initially offering 3.0-litre six-cylinder petrol and diesel mild-hybrid engines. Recently, Land Rover introduced the prices for the flagship Range Rover Sport SV variant and the 3.0-litre plug-in hybrid petrol on its India website, with deliveries expected to take 6-8 months.

The flagship Range Rover Sport SV boasts a powerful 635hp, 4.4-litre V8 engine sourced from BMW. With 800Nm of torque and an 8-speed automatic transmission driving all four wheels, it accelerates from 0 to 100kph in 3.8 seconds and reaches a top speed of 290kph. The SV variant features subtle design enhancements, including a wider track, increased camber, a revised front bumper and grille, side skirts, and a rear bumper with dual twin exhausts, catering to the enhanced cooling requirements of the V8 engine and brakes.

Internally, the SV model offers new seats with integrated head restraints, a redesigned steering wheel, and an SV button for personalized drive modes. The rear seats also incorporate integrated head restraints.
Additionally, the Range Rover Sport now includes a plug-in hybrid variant equipped with a 3.0-litre, 6-cylinder engine coupled with a 38.2kWh battery pack. The total system output is 460hp and 660Nm of torque, allowing the hybrid to accelerate from 0 to 100kph in 5.5 seconds and achieve a top speed of 225kph. The battery takes five hours to fully charge with a 7kW AC charger and provides an electric-only range of 123km (WLTP cycle). This powertrain is exclusive to the top-spec Autobiography trim and comes with various features, including digital LED headlights, panoramic sunroof, 22-inch alloy wheels, ambient lighting, four-zone climate control, and advanced seating options.
