Renault’s sister brand, Dacia, has officially unveiled the new Renault Duster in Portugal. The third-generation Duster will be available in Europe early next year before expanding to other markets. Notably, Renault plans to introduce the all-new Duster to the Indian market in the second half of 2025.

Built on the CMF-B modular platform shared with Dacia, Renault, and Nissan models, the new Duster retains its robust, off-road appearance. With a length of 4.34 meters, it is slightly longer than its predecessor, featuring design elements from the Dacia Bigster concept.

The front showcases slim Y-shaped LED Daytime Running Lamps, connecting with chrome elements on the grille. The bumper houses vertical air vents, and a large lower grille area resembles a flattened bull-bar. The Duster maintains its squared-off wheel arches, roof rails, and spoiler, with a distinctive tapering rear quarter glass. The 18-inch blacked-out alloy wheels add to its appeal.

Inside, the Duster boasts a double-layer dashboard with light and dark grey shades. Higher variants offer a 7-inch digital driver information screen and a 10.1-inch touchscreen for infotainment. The top-spec model includes features such as wireless charging, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity, automatic climate control, and an Arkamys 3D sound system. Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) technology is also featured.

The powertrain options include a 1.6-litre four-cylinder petrol hybrid with automatic transmission, a 130hp 1.2-litre three-cylinder turbo-petrol with a 48V starter motor, and a 1.0-litre petrol-LPG option. Notably, there is no diesel option available.

Off-road enthusiasts can choose between 4×2 and 4×4 options, with the latter limited to the 1.2-litre mild-hybrid powertrain. The Duster incorporates terrain modes like Auto, Snow, Mud/Sand, off-road, and Eco, along with hill-descent control.

The new Duster is set to make its comeback in India in the second half of 2025, competing with models such as the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Volkswagen Taigun, Skoda Kushaq, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, and Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder. Additionally, a seven-seat version and a Nissan derivative are expected to follow later.
