Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd., India’s leading SUV manufacturer, has launched the new Thar, starting at an attractive ₹9.99 lakh (ex-showroom). The refreshed SUV now features bold styling updates, enhanced comfort features, and advanced connectivity, making it more versatile than ever for both urban commutes and off-road adventures.
Iconic Yet Evolved Design
The New Thar retains its unmistakable road presence while receiving subtle yet impactful updates. The distinct new front grille, dual-tone bumpers, and fresh R18 alloy wheels enhance its rugged appeal. Inside, the cabin gets an all-new black theme dashboard and a redesigned steering wheel, adding a dose of modern sophistication. Buyers can choose from six color options, including two new shades – Tango Red and Battleship Grey.
Elevated Comfort and Everyday Convenience
Mahindra has reworked the cabin to improve practicality and passenger comfort. Rear AC vents now extend cooling to the second row, while a sliding armrest and a dead pedal (for AT models) make long drives more comfortable. Features like door-mounted power windows, a rear-view camera, rear wash & wiper, and an internally operated fuel lid make daily use far more convenient. An A-pillar entry assist handle has also been added to aid ingress and egress.
Smarter Tech for the Connected Driver
Technology takes center stage with a 26.03 cm HD infotainment system that supports Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. USB Type-C ports are provided for both front and rear passengers. Adventure seekers will particularly appreciate the Adventure Statistics Gen II, which tracks off-road data including altimeter readings, trip metrics, steering direction, and more. The addition of a Tyre Direction Monitoring System (TDMS) further enhances safety.
