Mercedes-Benz Expands Top-End Luxury Portfolio in India with the Mercedes-AMG CLE 53 4MATIC+ Coupé
Mercedes-Benz India has bolstered its top-end luxury performance line-up with the launch of the Mercedes-AMG CLE 53 4MATIC+ Coupé, a striking blend of C-Class agility and E-Class presence. Priced at ₹1.35 crore (ex-showroom), the two-door performance coupé combines track-bred engineering, cutting-edge technology, and unmistakable AMG styling to deliver an engaging yet luxurious driving experience.
Under the hood lies a comprehensively upgraded 3.0-litre M256M inline-six engine with twin turbocharging, producing 449 hp and 560 Nm of torque (briefly 600 Nm in overboost). An integrated starter-generator adds 23 hp and 205 Nm for short bursts, while also powering a 48-volt electrical system. Mated to the AMG SPEEDSHIFT TCT 9G transmission and fully variable AMG Performance 4MATIC+ all-wheel drive, the CLE 53 sprints from 0–100 km/h in just 4.2 seconds and reaches a top speed of 250 km/h (270 km/h with the AMG Driver’s Package).
Dynamic capability is enhanced by AMG RIDE CONTROL steel suspension with adaptive damping, standard rear-axle steering for agility and stability, and five AMG DYNAMIC SELECT drive modes. The braking setup and chassis tuning have been engineered for precision handling without compromising comfort.
Inside, the cabin features ARTICO leatherette and MICROCUT microfibre sport seats with red contrast stitching, a 12.3-inch driver display, and an 11.9-inch central touchscreen with AMG-specific graphics, including the exclusive “Supersport” mode. Ambient lighting with 64 colours, a flat-bottom AMG Performance steering wheel with touch controls, and premium finishes complete the luxurious performance ambiance.
