Mercedes-Benz India has achieved its highest-ever monthly sales in September 2025, posting a 36% growth over the same month last year. The surge comes on the back of strong customer response following the GST 2.0 reforms, pent-up demand, and the ongoing festive season, with over 2,500 cars retailed in just nine days—a new benchmark for the Navratri period.

Q2 FY 25-26 also marked record performance, with 5,119 units sold, bringing half-year sales (Apr–Sept) to 9,357 units, a 4% growth year-on-year. Key contributors included the Long Wheelbase (LWB) E-Class sedan, GLC, GLE, GLS, and AMG G63 SUVs, all registering their highest monthly sales.

Santosh Iyer, MD & CEO, Mercedes-Benz India, said, “The GST 2.0 reforms triggered a surge in demand, which, combined with our refreshed portfolio and innovative financing under the ‘Dream Days’ campaign, led to our best-ever September. Strong demand across core and top-end luxury segments, including LWB E-Class, GLS, AMG G63, and EQS SUVs, underscores the appeal of our diverse offerings. We expect this festive buying momentum to continue into October.”

Segment Highlights:
-
Top-End Luxury: GLS, AMG G63, S-Class, and Mercedes-Maybach vehicles drove 25% penetration in Q2, growing 12% YoY. AMG G63 set a record for monthly sales despite a 6+ month waiting period. The bespoke ‘manufaktur’ range accounted for 75% of top-end sales.
-
Core Luxury: LWB E-Class, GLC, and GLE SUVs recorded best-ever monthly sales in September, with the LWB E-Class sedan growing 47% YoY, maintaining its position as India’s best-selling luxury sedan. The core segment contributed 60% of overall sales.
-
Entry Luxury: A-Class sedan and GLA SUV continued to appeal to young luxury buyers, offering feature-rich, value-oriented propositions.
-
BEVs: Electric vehicle penetration reached 8% of total sales, with EQS SUV achieving record monthly sales. The top-end G 580 Edition 1 sold out for the year, with bookings open for the next delivery slot.

Mercedes-Benz India’s September performance underscores strong festive demand, renewed customer confidence post-GST 2.0, and the growing appeal of its core, top-end, and electric vehicle offerings in the Indian luxury market.
