Mercedes-Benz India today announced that it will fully pass on the benefits of the recent GST rate reduction directly to its customers, reinforcing its customer-first philosophy.
As per the revised structure, GST on all Mercedes-Benz cars (excluding EVs) will now be 40% with effect from September 22, 2025, subject to the issuance of the necessary government notification(s). Meanwhile, electric vehicles will continue to attract a lower 5% GST rate.
A company spokesperson stated, “In line with our commitment to our customers, we are pleased to share that Mercedes-Benz India will be passing on the entire benefit of the GST reduction directly to the end customers.”
This move is expected to make the luxury brand’s ICE portfolio more accessible while further boosting the appeal of its EV range, which already enjoys a significant tax advantage under the current GST framework.
