Maruti Suzuki has extended its discounts on the Jimny SUV, now offering a significant reduction of Rs 2 lakh on the entry-level variant for a limited period. The starting price for the Jimny Zeta MT has been reduced to Rs 10.74 lakh from Rs 12.74 lakh (ex-showroom), making it nearly Rs 4 lakh more affordable than the entry-level Thar petrol 4WD MT with a hardtop. To boost sales, Maruti has introduced the Jimny Thunder Edition, which adds various accessories at no extra cost. The Thunder Edition is available for both the entry-level Zeta and top-spec Alpha trims.

Despite the discount and Thunder Edition introduction, there are no changes to the Jimny’s 105hp, 1.5-litre petrol engine, available with a 5-speed manual or a 4-speed automatic transmission. The SUV features Suzuki’s ALLGrip 4WD technology across all variants. The Jimny Zeta comes equipped with standard features such as steel wheels, a 7.0-inch touchscreen, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, six airbags, and ESP.
The Jimny has maintained steady sales for Maruti, averaging around 3,000 units per month. The made-in-India Jimny, available in a five-door body style, is being exported in both left-hand drive (LHD) and right-hand drive (RHD) configurations to various international markets.
