Mahindra matched the winning bid, doubling the total proceeds, which were donated to the Naandi Foundation.
Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd., India’s leading SUV manufacturer, has delivered the first-ever Thar ROXX, VIN 001, to Mr. Aakash Minda, the winner of a highly competitive online auction. Mr. Minda secured the vehicle with a winning bid of ₹1.31 crore, surpassing 20 other active bidders in the auction, which took place on carandbike.com from September 15th to 16th, 2024.
The auction, which garnered over 10,980 registrations, concluded with Mr. Minda choosing the Nebula Blue color from seven striking options. The SUV was handed over in New Delhi by Mahindra Automotive CMO, Manjari Upadhye, and comes with an exclusive badge signed by Mahindra Group Chairman, Anand Mahindra, along with a special branding plate numbered 001—marking its status as a collector’s item.
The proceeds from the auction were donated to the Naandi Foundation, a recognized non-profit organization. Mahindra matched the winning bid, effectively doubling the contribution and enhancing the impact of this charitable initiative.
Mahindra First Choice Wheels conducted the auction on the carandbike.com platform, with Ernst & Young overseeing the entire bidding process.
