Kia has officially revealed the facelifted Sonet in India, opening bookings starting December 20. The updated compact SUV boasts cosmetic enhancements, new features, and a notable mechanical change. While maintaining its existing engine options, including the comeback of the diesel-manual variant, the Sonet facelift introduces Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) and a 360-degree camera.

In terms of design, the Sonet facelift features larger LED headlights, redesigned skid plates, and a new bumper. The rear showcases a connecting LED light bar, linking C-shaped tail-lights, and a revised bumper. Interior updates include a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster and new upholstery, along with Level 1 ADAS technology offering features like forward collision warning and lane departure warning.

Powertrain options remain unchanged, featuring a 1.2-litre petrol engine, a 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine, and a 1.5-litre diesel engine. Transmission choices include manual, iMT, dual-clutch, and torque converter automatic options.

The Sonet facelift is categorized into Tech Line, GT Line, and X-Line variants, with various trims and engine options. Bookings for the facelifted model have commenced, with prices set to be announced in January.

It will compete with rivals like the Tata Nexon, Hyundai Venue, Maruti Suzuki Brezza, Nissan Magnite, and Renault Kiger in the compact SUV segment.
