Kia India has announced that it will pass on the complete benefit of the recent GST rate reduction to customers across its internal combustion engine (ICE) lineup, effective September 22, 2025. The move follows the GST Council’s decision to cut GST on passenger vehicles from 28% to 18%, significantly lowering acquisition costs for buyers.
Welcoming the reform, Gwanggu Lee, Managing Director & CEO, Kia India, said:
“We welcome the Government of India’s visionary reforms to reduce GST on passenger vehicles. This progressive step makes vehicle ownership more affordable and boosts the growth of the automotive sector. In line with this, Kia is proud to extend the full GST benefits to our customers, ensuring greater accessibility and value.”
He further highlighted that the reduction simplifies taxation, supports sustainable economic growth, and is expected to energize demand during the festive season.
Here’s a model-wise breakdown of the price reductions across Kia India’s ICE portfolio (effective September 22, 2025):
| Model | Price Reduction (₹) |
|---|---|
| Sonet | 1,64,471 |
| Syros | 1,86,003 |
| Seltos | 75,372 |
| Carens | 48,513 |
| Carens Clavis | 78,674 |

With these revisions, Kia aims to strengthen its value proposition and reinforce its position as one of India’s leading mass-premium brands.
