Hyundai has recently launched the updated Creta facelift, featuring a range of models with prices starting from Rs 11 lakh for the base E petrol-manual variant and going up to Rs 20 lakh for the top-spec SX(O) diesel-automatic trim. It’s important to note that these prices are introductory and there are a total of 19 variants available with five engine and gearbox options.

Compared to the pre-facelift model, the Creta facelift is priced Rs 13,000 higher, with the top-spec variant costing Rs 80,000 more. Despite the increase, the Creta facelift remains competitively priced within its segment.

The exterior of the 2024 Creta has undergone a complete redesign, featuring a larger grille with parametric details, new lighting setup, split headlamps with LED Daytime Running Lamps, sequential indicators, and a light bar. The rear end is also more angular, with full LED tail-lamps and a light bar, presenting an overall refreshed look.

Inside, the Creta facelift boasts a new dashboard with a 10.25-inch touchscreen, updated software, and a 10.25-inch digital driver display. The center console now houses controls for the new dual-zone climate control system, and lighter colors with copper details enhance the interior. While the rear cabin remains largely unchanged, new USB Type-C charging points have been added.

In terms of features and safety, the Creta continues to impress with amenities such as a powered driver’s seat, dual-zone climate control, air purifier, electronic parking brake, adjustable rear seat backrest, and advanced tech features. The safety features include six airbags as standard, with higher-spec models offering radar and camera-based Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), incorporating auto emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, and more. Hyundai emphasizes the reinforced body shell for enhanced crash protection, and the 2024 Creta complies with India’s latest crash test norms.

The major mechanical change is the introduction of a new 160hp, 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine, replacing the previous 140hp, 1.4-litre unit. This new engine is exclusively paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox. The 115hp, 1.5-litre petrol and diesel engines remain unchanged, offering both manual and automatic gearbox options.
