India Yamaha Motor Pvt. Ltd. (IYM) has expanded the colour palette of the popular Yamaha XSR155 with the introduction of a new Metallic Black variant, priced at ₹1,58,990 (ex-showroom, Delhi).
The new shade pairs a deep black finish with striking golden upside-down (USD) front forks, enhancing the motorcycle’s premium and muscular road presence. The addition responds to strong customer demand for a darker, more aggressive colour option within Yamaha’s Modern Retro Sport line-up.
The XSR155 continues to showcase its timeless design language with a sculpted fuel tank, minimalist bodywork and signature retro-inspired styling cues. Built on Yamaha’s proven Deltabox frame, the motorcycle features a lightweight and well-balanced chassis riding on 17-inch wheels for agile handling.
Power comes from a 155cc liquid-cooled, 4-valve engine with Variable Valve Actuation (VVA), producing 13.5 kW and 14.2 Nm. The engine is paired with a 6-speed gearbox equipped with an assist and slipper clutch for smoother shifts and enhanced control. Hardware highlights include USD front forks, a linked-type monocross rear suspension and an aluminium swingarm.
Safety and rider confidence are bolstered by dual-channel ABS and traction control, reinforcing the XSR155’s premium positioning in the segment.
Since its launch last year, the XSR155 has garnered strong interest from enthusiasts seeking a blend of retro aesthetics and sporty performance. With the addition of the Metallic Black variant, Yamaha further strengthens its appeal among riders looking for individuality and everyday riding excitement.
