Premium British motorcycle brand Triumph Motorcycles has crossed a significant milestone of 1 lakh motorcycles on Indian roads, marking a strong phase of growth in the country since its strategic partnership with Bajaj Auto began in Q2 2023.

The achievement highlights Triumph’s growing popularity among premium motorcycle enthusiasts in India, driven by a combination of the brand’s global engineering expertise and Bajaj Auto’s manufacturing capabilities, R&D strength, and expansive distribution network.

Rapid Expansion Across India

Since the partnership began, Triumph has rapidly expanded its footprint across the country. The brand is now present in over 200 towns, supported by more than 230 premium retail outlets, significantly improving accessibility for riders and enthusiasts.

Building a Strong Rider Community

Beyond sales, Triumph has actively focused on building a strong riding culture in India. Initiatives such as World of Triumph and the global charity ride The Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride have helped create a vibrant rider community.

The company has also organised several curated riding experiences, including Triumph Tiger Trails, Scrambler Rides, Bike Nights, and scenic rides through the Western Ghats, encouraging deeper engagement with customers.

Made in India, Exported Globally

The Triumph 400 platform, manufactured in India, has also gained international recognition. Models from this range are currently exported to 18 global markets, including Japan, Australia, Mexico, Taiwan, and South Korea, reflecting strong worldwide acceptance of the India-made motorcycles.

Company Statement

Commenting on the milestone, Manik Nangia, President – Probiking, Bajaj Auto, said the achievement reflects the trust Indian riders have placed in the brand.

“Reaching 1 lakh Triumph motorcycles on Indian roads within just 2.5 years is a proud milestone for us. Triumph customers are discerning riders who have strongly endorsed our engineering with our modern classic motorcycles. The brand has always been built for those who know the difference, and we remain committed to strengthening our premium ecosystem and deepening our engagement with riders across the country.”

With continued product expansion, growing exports, and a rapidly expanding retail presence, Triumph’s momentum in India appears set to strengthen further in the premium motorcycle segment.
