Steelbird TORNADO Helmet Launched with Inner Sunshield, Reflective Spoiler, and DOT/ISI Safety – Priced at Just ₹1,959

Steelbird Helmets, one of India’s leading helmet manufacturers, has introduced its latest offering — the TORNADO — a feature-packed helmet designed for urban and long-distance riders alike. Priced at an aggressive ₹1,959 (MRP), the TORNADO blends global safety certifications, comfort, and sleek styling, targeting the safety-conscious commuter who wants more for less.

Certified with both DOT and ISI safety standards, the TORNADO features a high-impact ABS shell reinforced with fiberglass, along with multi-layer, high-density EPS for superior shock absorption. Its standout visual feature is the long reflective rear spoiler and reflective interior lining, enhancing rider visibility at night while giving the helmet a premium look. A signature all-black edition adds stealth appeal, with even the interior, chin strap, buckle, and reflector finished in black.

One of the major highlights is the dual-visor system. Riders get an internal sunshield for bright-day glare reduction, along with an easy-release outer visor, with an additional smoke visor for added flexibility. The helmet’s retention system is cleverly designed to emerge from the cheek pads, freeing up more space around the ears and improving Bluetooth device compatibility.

Rajeev Kapur, Managing Director of Steelbird Helmets, shared, “The modern Indian rider expects performance, comfort, and smart design in one package. The TORNADO delivers on all fronts — whether it’s for daily commutes or longer weekend rides.”

The TORNADO also features a breathable, Italian-style multi-pore interior that’s washable and tailored for long-term comfort. A micro-metric buckle system meets European safety standards, and the helmet is available in four sizes (S to XL) to suit all head profiles.

With its reflective tech, inner sunshield, Bluetooth-ready ergonomics, and a sub-₹2K price tag, the Steelbird TORNADO is set to raise the bar in the entry-level helmet space, offering serious protection without breaking the bank.
