Simple Energy, an electric vehicle (EV) startup based in Bengaluru, has introduced its second electric scooter, the Dot One, with a special introductory price of Rs 99,999 (ex-showroom, Bengaluru) for customers who pre-booked the scooter. This exclusive offer is available for Simple One Bengaluru customers and is valid until inventory lasts.

The company has revealed that the official launch price for new customers in 2024 will be slightly higher, and this information will be disclosed in January 2024. The Dot One features a fixed 3.7kWh battery, providing a certified range of 151km and 160km in IDC. Customers can choose from four colors: Namma Red, Brazen Black, Grace White, and Azure Blue. The scooter comes with a 750W charger, and deliveries will initially begin in Bengaluru before expanding to other cities.
The Dot One boasts quick acceleration, accelerating from 0 to 40kph in just 2.77 seconds. Its 3.7kWh battery and 8.5kW electric motor deliver a peak torque output of 72Nm. Safety features include CBS and efficient disc brakes, while the scooter also offers a 35-litre under-seat storage. Notable highlights include a touchscreen instrument cluster with diverse functionality and app connectivity.
Competing in the market, the Simple One, at this price point, is a contender against the Ola S1 X, priced at Rs 90,000.
