Royal Enfield has unveiled the production version of the Shotgun 650, following its initial showcase as a limited edition factory custom at the Motoverse festival. In terms of differences, the primary distinction lies in the paint scheme; the Motoverse edition boasted a unique hand-painted design, while the production variant offers simpler options: Green Drill, Plasma Blue, Sheet Metal Grey, and Stencil White.

The Shotgun 650 shares its engine and primary frame with the Super Meteor 650, featuring the same 648cc parallel-twin engine producing 47hp and 52.3Nm. Notable variations include ergonomics, with the Shotgun adopting a more upright seating position due to a flatter handlebar and mid-set footpegs. The bike also sports different wheel sizes (18-inch/17-inch), necessitating adjustments in the suspension setup, while maintaining the upside-down fork/twin shock absorber combination. The Shotgun has a taller 795mm seat, shorter wheelbase, reduced overall length, and weighs 1kg less at 240kg. However, it carries almost 2 litres less fuel than the Super Meteor, featuring a 13.8-litre tank, making it effectively the heavier of the two.

In terms of features, the Shotgun 650 closely mirrors the Super Meteor, incorporating an LED headlight, Tripper navigation pod, and dual-channel ABS. Similar to the Classic 350, the Shotgun 650 is available with the option of a single-seater or with a pillion seat.
