Hero MotoCorp, the world’s largest manufacturer of motorcycles and scooters, reported dispatches of 553,727 units in August 2025, marking an 8% year-on-year growth over the 5.12 lakh units sold in August 2024.

According to VAHAN data (excluding Telangana), the company recorded 3.44 lakh registrations, signaling sustained demand across both urban and rural markets. While the monsoon season has had a temporary impact on retail activity, Hero MotoCorp anticipates a strong recovery in the months ahead.

VIDA EVs Continue Growth Momentum

Hero’s electric mobility brand, VIDA, maintained its upward trajectory with 12,275 unit dispatches and 13,313 VAHAN registrations in August, strengthening its market share month-on-month and year-to-date.

Strong International Performance

Hero MotoCorp’s global business also delivered robust numbers, with exports rising to 34,588 units in August, up from 20,097 units last year—translating into 40% growth YTD.

Festive Season Outlook

With positive monsoon trends, rising agricultural demand, and anticipated GST reforms expected to boost consumption, the company remains optimistic about festive season sales.

Hero MotoCorp recently launched the all-new Glamour X 125, positioned as India’s most futuristic 125cc motorcycle. Backed by the strong legacy of the Glamour brand—trusted by over 8 million customers—the new model introduces category-first features, bold design, and advanced technology. Priced at ₹89,999 (Drum) and ₹99,999 (Disc) (ex-showroom Delhi), it is now available across dealerships nationwide.

  • Motorcycles: 5,01,523 units (vs. 4,78,215 in Aug ’24)

  • Scooters: 52,204 units (vs. 34,145 in Aug ’24)

  • Total Dispatches: 5,53,727 units (vs. 5,12,360 in Aug ’24)

  • Domestic: 5,19,139 units

  • Exports: 34,588 units

Hero MotoCorp’s recent launches, including the Xoom 125 and Destini 125, have also witnessed strong traction, further reinforcing the brand’s momentum as it heads into the crucial festive season.
