Ducati has raised the bar yet again with the global debut of the new Panigale V4 R, the most advanced road-going superbike in its history. Developed in close collaboration with Ducati Corse and built to compete at the highest level of racing, the Panigale V4 R blends MotoGP-derived technology with World Superbike engineering, creating a motorcycle that redefines performance benchmarks.

MotoGP Technology, Road-Legal Package

At the heart of the Panigale V4 R lies the latest 998 cc Desmosedici Stradale R engine, Euro 5+ approved, producing 218 hp (208.4 hp in US spec) at 15,500 rpm. With Ducati’s optional racing exhaust, output soars to 235 hp, peaking at 239 hp with Ducati Corse Performance Oil—propelling the bike to speeds exceeding 330 km/h, a figure once reserved for MotoGP machines.

Racing-Derived Innovations

For the first time on a production motorcycle, the Panigale V4 R introduces MotoGP-style Corner Sidepods, generating ground effect for superior cornering grip, along with the Ducati Racing Gearbox (DRG) that positions neutral below first gear—ensuring faster, safer gear shifts in racing conditions. The bike also features Ducati’s Neutral Lock system, preventing accidental engagement of neutral during aggressive braking.

Performance-Oriented Engineering

  • Frame & Swingarm: Hollow symmetrical swingarm and reduced-stiffness front frame for improved grip and corner exit.

  • Suspension: Pressurised Öhlins NPX25/30 fork, Öhlins TTX36 rear shock, and the new SD20 steering damper.

  • Braking: New Brembo Hypure calipers with 330 mm discs for enhanced stopping power and heat dissipation.

  • Tyres: Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa SP V4 as standard, with slick Superbike-spec tyres available for track use.

Aerodynamics and Ergonomics

The revised fairing and larger wings deliver 25% more downforce, adding stability under acceleration and precision at high speed. Ergonomic refinements—narrower footpegs and optimised tank/seat design—help riders achieve a racing stance with less fatigue during long sessions.

Next-Generation Electronics

The Panigale V4 R comes with Ducati’s Vehicle Observer (DVO) algorithm, new Race Brake Control strategies, and advanced engine brake control, all accessible via the 6.9-inch TFT dash in dedicated Track Mode with a unique Grip Meter display.

Heritage and Exclusivity

Produced in a numbered series, the Panigale V4 R proudly displays its model name and serial number on the steering plate. It follows in the lineage of icons like the 996R (2001), cementing its place as Ducati’s most exclusive production superbike.

India Availability

The Ducati Panigale V4 R will arrive in India as a CBU import in early 2026, straight from Borgo Panigale. Customers can further personalise their bike with a wide range of Ducati Performance accessories, including carbon fibre wheels, racing fairings, and pro-spec braking systems.
