Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (M&M Ltd.), one of India’s leading automotive manufacturers, reported overall sales of 75,901 vehicles in August 2025, reflecting flat growth compared to the same month last year.

In the Utility Vehicle (SUV) segment, Mahindra sold 39,399 units domestically, registering a 9% YoY decline, while total UV sales, including exports, stood at 40,846 units. The company’s commercial vehicle sales in the domestic market were reported at 22,427 units.

Nalinikanth Gollagunta, CEO – Automotive Division, M&M Ltd., said:

“August witnessed steady demand in the SUV segment amidst anticipated GST changes. Mahindra posted a 7.4% YoY growth in PV Vahan registrations and 16% growth in CV registrations (<7.5T LCV category). With GST rationalisation expected soon, we consciously reduced wholesale billing to ease dealer inventory. The festive season, supported by policy clarity, is expected to boost demand further.”
