Lumax Auto Technologies Limited (LATL), a leading Tier-1 supplier to Indian automotive OEMs, has inaugurated its state-of-the-art Technology Centre in Bengaluru, aptly named the ‘Smart Hub for Innovation and Future Trends’ (SHIFT). The new facility marks a major milestone in LATL’s strategic vision to strengthen its electronics, digital, and software engineering capabilities amid the global transition toward software-defined vehicles (SDVs).
The inauguration was attended by key customers and partners from across the Indian automotive ecosystem, including leaders from Daimler India Commercial Vehicles, Hero MotoCorp, Mahindra & Mahindra, Maruti Suzuki, Tata Motors, and TVS Motor Company, reaffirming Lumax’s deep-rooted industry partnerships.
The SHIFT Technology Centre will serve as a hub for advanced R&D and product development across domains such as in-cabin experiences, ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), connectivity, and embedded electronics. The facility is designed to deliver future-ready mobility solutions aligned with the evolving needs of OEMs and consumers alike.

The SHIFT Centre is equipped with advanced electronics labs capable of hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing, rapid prototyping, and product validation — enabling a seamless innovation cycle from concept to commercialisation.
